to the Future Festival Update - Joanne Ehrlich
The
Back to the Future Festival is this weekend! With well over 100 students
participating, we are looking forward to a grand time with lots of musical
performances and fun activities.
Here is an
overview of the Festival Schedule:

With contests coming up in April, calls have started flooding
in from instrumentalists and parents looking for accompanists. If you
are interested in being included on the referral list for accompanying
needs, please let Margaret Dietz know right away! She may be contacted

Progressions - Julie Brown
The 2010
Music Progressions Enrollment Form is now available on the WMMTA website.
The deadline for enrollment is March 15. Please send ONE check per teacher
made payable to WMMTA.
Please note: Students should commit to a block of time for their exams.
As usual, the choices are Saturday morning or afternoon, May 1, or Sunday
afternoon, May 2. We will not be able to accommodate specific requests
(i.e. Saturday before 10:00 or after 2:00/Sunday between 2:00-4:00, etc.).

Stevens
Wendy
Stevens had her baby, Anna Catherine Stevens on Thursday, February 11th
around noon. She weighed 5 lbs, 13 ounces and was 19 ¼ inches long.
Both mother and baby are doing well!
Wendy
Stevens has composed a set of 12 reproducible Practice Sight Reading Pieces
to help students prepare for the 2010 Music Progressions tests. This set
of printable tests contains two pieces for each level 1-6. As you may
know, the MP program is continuing to be revised and improved and the
sight reading portion of this years test contains all new music
(Wendy was comissioned to compose levels 1-6). To order the Practice Sight

Wickham
MTNA is having Natalie Wickham live blog the national conference
in Albuquerque this year. The conference will be held March 20-24, 2010,
and up-to-the-minute updates will be available throughout the week on
Music Matters Blog - http://musicmattersblog.com.
Even those who can't attend in person will get to experience glimpses
of the conference virtually!

How
to Print the WMMTA eNews
If
you would like to print a hard copy of the WMMTA eNews, here are step-by-step
instructions for Windows users:
1. Open the
e-mail in your e-mail program.
2. Click
anywhere inside the body of the e-mail and then hold the Ctrl key on your
keyboard and press the "A" key. This will select "all."
3. Click
Ctrl and then the "C" key to copy everything that is selected.
4. Open a
word processing software (like Microsoft Word) and click Ctrl and then
the "P" key to paste the selection.
5. Adjust
formatting as desired and then print as you would any other document.
